Paydaş Education, Culture and Art Association, which has made a name for itself with the projects it has created and participated in the field of Erasmus+ projects of European Union, participated in the kick off meeting of the projects in the Czech Republic and Spain. The project coodinator of the association shared the following information about the content and structure of the three separate projects;
The Project Echre:European Cultural Heritage, of which kick off meeting was held in Opava, Czech Republic during 23-24 January 2020, aims to create and international cooperation through sharing cultural heritage and eliminating prejudices. In this context, an educational resource that highlights the common cultural background values will be created through conducting researches on the history of societies. The project brings together various organizations and institutions from Turkey, Romania, Italy and Czech Republic.
The kickoff meeting of the project entitled as “Building Entrepreneurial Mindsets and Skills in European Schools” , which is also and Erasmus+ co-funded project, took place on 27-28 January in Torrelavega, Spain. This project aims to contribute to the personal development of students by providing trainings in the field of social entrepreneurship for students. The goal of this project, which brings educational institutions and associations from Spain, Poland, Italy, Portugal and Turkey together, is to create a system that provides high quality entrepreneurship education for all the students to develop their social entrepreneurship competences during all the stages of educational process.
We also would like to point out that, after the meeting, the Mayor of Torrelavego, Javier Lopez Estrada welcomed us and Spanis press included our study and visit in the newspapers.
The kick off meeting of Erasmus+ co-funded project G.A.M.E :Gamification for More Effective Teaching took place in Ostrava, Czech Republic on 30-31 January, 2020.
This project aims to increase the motivation of students for learning and to change their attitudes towards the learning process. The integration of internet to the learning process as a result of technological developments is an inevitable reality. The project aims to support educators with a series of innovative gamification practices and to increase the effects of gamification on the learning process. With gamification, students will be more interested in learning, they will enjoy the learning process in a wider area and this technique will help them make better use of their potential . We aim to develop our teachers’ competences and encourage them to use gamification in their teaching area through 4 joint staff trainings, an online meeting and 2 Blended Preschool Teachers Mobility.The project will last for 24 months with 8 projects partners (4 schools and 4NGOs)
With the kick off meetings of the Erasmus+ co-funded projects, the coordinator organizations and partner organizations discussed on the future planning of the projects through presentations of the early preparations, exchange of ideas and distribution of the tasks.
In addition, Paydaş Education, Culture and Art Association which has a coordinatorship in the area of Erasmus+ Adult Education has started the preparations of the kickoff meeting which will be held on 20-21 February,2020 in Zonguldak. The project “Developing The Competences of Educators to Promote Social Entrepreneurship of Adults With Migrant Background” supported by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for Foreign Affairs Turkish National Agency, started in January,2020 with its acronym “Edu4Sent”.
While the coordinator of the project, in which Zonguldak Governorate is also a partner, is Paydaş Education, Culture and Art Association; Formazione E Comunione Società Cooperativa Sociale Onlus from Italy, Institute Of Entrepreneurship Development from Poland and Danmar Computers Sp Zoo from Poland are the other international partners of the project.Edu4Sent, which is the first approved project of our city in the field of Erasmus+ Adult Education Strategic Partnership will be carried out during 2020-2021.
Speaking about the project, the president of Paydaş Education, Culture and Art Association, Önder Küçüköner stated the followng information : ” Social entreprenuership is cruical for creating new job opportunities for immigrants and for ensuring that they work in a fair and equal environment. However, the educational systems do not cover the entrepreneurial education adequately and so most people are unable to use the skills necessary to enter the business world. Edu4Sent aims to help young adult refugees develop social entrepreneurship competences to set up their own businesses. To achieve this, an open accees course will be developed within the project, teheby the social entrepreneurship skills of adult refugees will be increased. Educational content of the procet will be created with the partnership of 5 organizations and institutions from Turkey, Greece and Poland. The open access online training course will contribute to the social entrepreneurship skills of refugees in a long term and it will work as facilitator opportunity for job finding an creating.
