Ventilation System Periodic Control
Periodic Control of Ventilation Installation is very important. As it is known, ventilation installations are systems that provide air flow to indoor environments. Pollutant effects such as dust, gas and smoke produced by machines in closed working areas reduce the indoor air quality. Evacuation of polluted air and transfer of clean air to indoor environments are of great importance for working comfort in work areas. In addition, ventilation installation systems have an important function for occupational safety by preventing poisoning, possible explosions and fires in closed working areas. For this reason, the periodic control of the ventilation installation in a work area should be carried out by professional teams and the adequacy of the system should be tested with correct calculations.
Periodic control of the ventilation installation is carried out by our company, meticulously by expert personnel. Expert teams perform periodic inspection of the ventilation system within the scope of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment and the Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire. The system, which is periodically checked, is examined in detail. It is checked whether the air flow passes through the system in a healthy way and whether the system is compatible with the electrical installation. It is tested whether the necessary amount of clean air is provided in terms of the health and work efficiency of the employees. Along with these tests, the measurement of the air velocity of the system, smoke test, comfort ventilation, local exhaust ventilation processes are checked.
It is stated that the periodic inspection of the ventilation system should be carried out within the criteria and intervals stipulated by the manufacturer, if any, by the relevant regulations. If this situation has not been determined by the manufacturer, the inspection process is carried out in the periods to be determined, taking into account the risk factors such as the ambient conditions of the ventilation installation system, the frequency of use and the duration of use. In accordance with the “Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment” and “Regulation on the Protection of Buildings from Fire”, the inspection interval specified should not exceed one year, except for possible situations. Periodic control of the ventilation installation is carried out to determine whether the system complies with the issues specified in the project, and it is a legally mandatory procedure. While our company performs the periodical control of the ventilation system with its professional team and equipment, it ensures that you fulfill the legal requirements, ensure the comfort of the working environment and prevent possible dangerous situations in terms of work safety.
The employer is obliged to provide the clean air needs of the employees in the workplace in terms of occupational safety and health. It is obligatory to control the ventilation installation and to have the ventilation installation control certificate in all workplaces, except for the transportation vehicles used outside the workplace or the workplaces in the transportation vehicles, buildings and similar temporary or mobile work areas, and agricultural and forest areas that are too far away to interact in terms of occupational health and safety. Meeting the need for clean air also has a positive effect on the motivation and productivity of the employees. The ventilation system is divided into 2.
General Ventilation
It is the process of changing the air in the whole area by giving or pulling air at the required rate to a section or the whole area in the workplace. In general ventilation, the pollutants in the environment are diluted, but if there are processes that cause toxic or high pollutant formation in the workplace, general ventilation alone will not be sufficient. In addition to general ventilation, local (mechanical) ventilation system should also be made.
Local Ventilation
In local ventilation, it is aimed to carry toxic or pollutants out by absorbing them directly from the source without spreading to the environment. This is achieved by being sucked from the place where it comes out with the appropriate aspiration system. The ducts or pipes used in the suction installation should be made of non-combustible material in appropriate cross-section and spiral or bendable hoses can be used in mobile suction nozzles. Suction nozzles in the local ventilation system, these can be in circular or rectangular vents, air ducts and air cleaners are available.
Upon the request of the workplace, a suitable day is determined and the company is visited. Compliance with the control criteria for the ventilation installation is visually checked. It is checked by looking at the ventilation duct wall and filters. In addition, the ventilation points may have local ventilation points called general or mechanical ventilation points. At each of these points, the air flow velocity is measured with a special measuring device. After measuring the ambient temperature and humidity, the ventilation flow is calculated and all these findings and notes are written on the ventilation system periodic form or the air conditioning form we call ventilation and air conditioning. The ventilation installation is recorded in the conformity report.

Ventilation System Periodic Control Report Compliance List;
Periodic Control Period
Before the ventilation system is installed and used, it is legally obligatory to have all periodic checks performed at least once a year, according to the regulation, after any changes made on the ventilation and aspiration system, and after the repair and maintenance operations on the ventilation systems. In cases where these periodic checks, the durations of which are determined by law, are not carried out, the responsible workplace becomes the owner. If it is detected in the company inspections carried out by the Ministry and the Turkish Standards Institute, the owner of the workplace is penalized. That’s why it has to be done. According to the relevant article of the regulation, the periodic control, reporting and approval of the ventilation installation is carried out by the mechanical technician and mechanical engineer and the authorized technical manager.
ABOUT NOVATEST
Our company was established in 2014. It has set out especially not to compromise on QUALITY and TRUST. Moreover, its own YOUNG, its team is YOUNG, its equipment is YOUNG, but it has set out with academic career people who have a say in the sector. In addition, it proceeds with the motto of continuous innovation. As can be understood from the meaning of its name, our company has set out to become a ‘shining star’ in the sector. In addition, NOVATEST provides HVAC Validation tests, Duct Leak Tests, Biosafety Cabinets Performance Tests and Air Flow Measurement (Air Balance) services. In principle, we are in control of what we do. We work very meticulously. We also provide high quality services for our customers in all industries. However, NOVATEST undertakes to fulfill all the requirements of its quality policy.
The best way to present the measurement results of temperature and humidity values is to prepare a report rich with visual content. For this reason, in temperature mapping, not only the temperature graph but also the temperature isotherm map of the warehouse is presented to our customers. In this way, reporting is possible for all kinds of variables (As a result of combining the sketch of the warehouse and the device layout with the thermal image, it is easier to determine which location is the coldest and which location is the hottest in the warehouse).
Most air-conditioned areas are monitored with one or at most several temperature-humidity sensors and it is seen that compliance with the allowable limits is mostly achieved. However, the real situation is often different. In a large area within the volume that should be under control, no measurement is actually performed. At the same time, many movements are constantly taking place in the environment, personnel traffic, movements of forklifts and similar vehicles, opening and closing of doors and windows, if any, also affect the environment. At the same time, the doors of the air-conditioned zone and some wall sections are adjacent to regions with different temperature-humidity conditions.
