ZONESCAN ALPHA – Permanent Network Monitoring System

ZONESCAN ALPHA – Permanent Network Monitoring System

The Gutermann ZoneScan Alpha Permanent Network Monitoring System is a remotely monitored water leak detection device and a smart mains water loss management system. Once the system is set up, it automatically notifies you of every leak and leak in the pipe network it monitors. At the same time, it detects the exact location of the loss-leakage and leakage it finds for you. Thanks to the software system, you can follow all historical data to ensure optimal portfolio management.

More and more smart cities are installing ZoneScan Alpha as an all-in-one smart water loss management system to permanently and sustainably reduce Non-Revenue Water. Once installed, the system automatically notifies you of every leak in the monitored pipe network and also gives you the exact location of each leak. The software will then help you manage verification and repair jobs and will track all past events to provide the most suitable asset management tool for your utility.

PRODUCT FEATURES
Fully automated and unmanned: The system is installed or supervised by GUTERMANN to ensure optimum coverage and reliable communication of the targeted pipe network. Since leaks are automatically detected and pinpointed, no further human site intervention is required for accurate leak detection. The leak manager will be notified within one or a few days after it occurs. Thanks to advanced spectrum analysis, leak-free noise and other interference are automatically excluded.

Engineered to perfection: ZoneScan ALPHA technology is the result of years of meticulous hardware and software engineering. Combined with GUTERMANN’s unmatched expertise in communication and correlation technique and the use of high-quality materials as well as key components (such as the radio module) designed and manufactured in-house, this product is unrivaled in the world. Our smart sensors are designed to withstand temperatures between -20°C and +80°C and the battery life is tested to last at least 5 years before being replaced.

Advantages of a fixed network: In addition to the obvious advantage in reducing the manpower required to perform leak investigations and correlations, a fixed network setup provides more accurate results with the elimination of distribution errors and greater amounts of data being available over time. This way, you will see and locate smaller and more difficult leaks. Early detection and repair of leaks reduces leak runtime and prevents larger and more dangerous pipe breaks. Sustainably reduces your water loss!

The modularity of the ZoneScan platform: Your ZoneScan installation can be tailored to your specific needs, size and existing infrastructure. You can cover an area from 20 to several thousand measuring points. You can use your existing AMI or urban Wi-Fi network for data transmission. You can choose to store and view your network data on your computers with our software or access it online with a browser on our secure ZoneScan NET servers.

Self-learning system: ZoneScan ALPHA software is designed to become more effective over time. You get a large database of historical leak and noise data, and you can add specific field observations such as noises, real audio files, and pipe properties. Build a powerful and self-learning asset management tool. Over time, you will gain full control over your distribution network. An event ticketing module helps you efficiently manage any issue resolution.

Full transparency of the system: A special “Maintenance Screen” provides a complete overview of the entire ZoneScan network. The operator can obtain information such as power level, temperature and noise level data, firmware version and date of last communication for each system component. The system automatically generates an alert if there is a problem with any of the sensors or repeaters: low battery level, outdated firmware, stolen or displaced recorder, faulty sensor or antenna, or extreme temperatures, etc.

Attractive and versatile user interface: All available pipe network information, the location of each smart sensor and all leak indicators are displayed in a Google Maps interface. Each sensor can be studied individually or cross-linked with any other sensor. Special screens allow the operator to perform advanced filtering and spectral analysis, and a special “Leak Score” provides advice and certainty about any potential leak condition. A routing wizard helps you adjust your network information for any inaccuracies in your imported GIS data.

Strengthen your image: Installing the unique ZoneScan Alpha fixed network monitoring technology will help you significantly, sustainably reduce non-revenue water and predict larger pipe breaks that could cause significant damage. You will also be recognized as a modern, efficient and environmentally conscious organization that strives to achieve the best possible solution in the Intelligent Water Loss Management market.
